Die Absoft Integrated Development Environment (IDE) ist ohne Zusatzkosten in allen Versionen von ProFortran für Windows, Linux und Macintosh enthalten. Absoft IDE unterstützt Compiler von Absoft, Apple und GNU.
IDE ist eine komplett eigenständige Entwicklungsumgebung, bewahrt aber volle native Ünterstützung der Entwicklungsplattform.
Alle Compiler und Tools können durch eine einfach zu benutzende Integrierte Entwicklungsumgebung (IDE) erreicht werden, die auch automatisch make files erstellt. Header Dependencies werden automatisch von innerhalb der IDE erstellt, und auch der in ProFortranMP enthaltene Auto-Parallelisierer kann durch die IDE gesteuert werden.
Und: IDE ist das erste Fortran IDE für Linux, Windows und MacOS.
Absoft löst damit die Probleme, die im Zusammenhang mit Visual Studio und Xcode auftreten, die zwar exzellente Umgebungen für C sind, aber mit Fortran, Fortran Debugging sich nicht auskennen und auch keine Fortran application framework bieten. Absofts IDE bietet dies für Fortran und untertützt auch C.

Fortran source files and any other text-only file can be, imported, edited or printed. Color highlighting distinguishes Fortran, C/C++ keywords, comments, strings, numbers, intrinsics, macros and system API calls. The editor has a multiple undo feature, allows editing multiple files.
